On that August day, I clearly remember my dad motioning to my mom that it was time to go. She stood in front of my desk, looking at a picture of me and crying. I was her home and she was my home and we would be apart of the first time.

The first care packaged arrived and it was filled with vitamins, snacks and letters. My mom was a working mom so she didn’t bake cookies, but I held that box close to my nose and inhaled. Yep. Sunburn :
Take pure or diluted Lavender oil and apply it directly to your sunburnt skin. It will soothe the pain of the burn and feel great. If applied quickly after the burn, the redness will quickly fade within 3 or 4 hours. Drink lots of water and reapply the lavender ever 3 hours.

Burns :
Lavender will kill the pain of a burn and and promote rapid healing. It will also reduce eventual scaring. Lavender, applied to a burn very quickly, will often prevent scarsl. For larger burns, Lavender oil should be poured neatly onto a gauze or cloth, and applied to the burn, and renewed every few hours.

Use common sense, if you need medical attention for a serious burn, don’t put lavender on it.

When I was 17, my mom brought the book ” You Can Heal Your Life” home from the library. The book had an unforgettable title and I recall flipping through it. A couple of years later, the book ended back in my hands. I was 19, a sophomore in college and I was in unbearable pain.

The pain in my back was loud and it limited me from living the normal life of an young adult. After two car accidents, my entire body ached every moment of the day. I couldn’t run or jump or go to classes without going home and laying down for 3 or 4 hours. I was fatigued, depressed and too scared to ask for help.

Deep down inside I knew the pain was in my heart and soul and not merely a physical issue. I was a super shy and sensitive child who felt everything 100 times more than other kids . Growing up I always had health issues and self-esteem issues and my parents really didn’t know how to soothe me. ” You Can Heal Your Life” helped me understand that my thoughts and my feelings became my physicality. It suggested that I change the way I thought about myself.

The book is organized into two main sections. The first section explains the mind-body connection and universal truths surrounding health and well-being. The second section has lists of physical conditions and explains the underlying emotions and thoughts that are related to them. I learned that my back pain and body aches had to do with feeling unsupported. This resonated with me and I started using the affirmation ” I am supported” – “I allow others to support me.”

I love this book. Today – I recommend it to the clients in my practice. I am so happy to see that the movie is out with amazing teachers from Abraham-Hicks (Jerry and Esther), Gregg Braden, Wayne Dyer and Doreen Virtue.

ABSTRACT INDOOR AIR PURIFICATION AND VENTILATION SYSTEMS SANITATION WITH ESSENTIAL OILS

Ventilation systems often host bacteria and fungi that may be dangerous for the health
of exposed people.
Essential oils are one means among others to prevent microbial development. Used as
a basis for many traditional therapies, these odorant plant extracts have been studied
extensively in the medical domain and their effectiveness in the treatment of
numerous pathologies has been demonstrated. As opposed to most antimicrobial
agents currently used for air disinfection, essential oils are not toxic.
With a view to proposing an indoor air purification method based on the germicidal
and odorant properties of essential oils, we selected:
the pathogenic test strains :

Staphylococcus aureus
Pseudomonas aeruginosa

the Afnor NF T72-281 protocol for the disinfection of surfaces through the air,
which showed the germicidal activity of antimicrobial agents used in gaseous phase a specific experimental apparatus some of the most active essential oils :
mountain savory, thyme thymol, oregano (vulgare) as well as cinnamon bark.

The protocol was applied to a chemical reference compound of hospitals, the
formaldehyde as well as to phenol rich essential oils.

We demonstrated that the tested essential oils in gaseous phase do have a lethal
effect on all bacteria that have been exposed to them, even in small doses.
In buildings, controlled diffusion of rigorously selected essential oils in volatile form
would validly contribute to:
− occupant comfort, through improvement of the perception of indoor air quality,
− the prevention of microbial contamination,
− microbiological purification of air and sanitation of ventilation systems.
