We’re back from the Seattle Green Festival. We had a great time at the show and met so many wonderful people. I have to admit that I am exhausted after spending four weeks traveling. Getting into my own bed was like being in heaven.

here are some highlights from the trip!
HIGHLIGHT 1 :
I love exhibiting at the GreenFestivals, but one downfall is that I miss out on the events and speakers because I am busy attending to my booth. Luckily, I had the good fortune of meeting Dr. Kevin Danaher, co-founder of Global Exchange and executive co-producer of the Green Festivals. We were on the same flight out from SF and sat next to each other on the shuttle to the convention center. Kevin is a grounded visionary who is offering up a platform forĀ grassroots responses to global economic forces. He is a activist and the voice for the green community leading the way as we transition to a local Green Economy.
Speaking to him was a huge gift. We talked about changes in world economy and how environmental impact is affecting the health and livehood of people across the world. Like myself, he came from an immigrant family. His father was a peasant from Ireland and moved to the US in his early twenties. Kevin went to UC Santa Cruz and rec’d his PhD in Sociology and has been working in activism ever since. He has worked to create Fair Trade certifications, raised awareness surrounding unfair global trade initiatives and created the GreenFestival platform. His presence is like a sequoia tree. Wise. Rooted. Powerful. Peaceful. I look forward to learning more about him and joining in the effort to green the world economy.
HIGHLIGHT 2 : We got to catch up with old friends!

This is my good friend,Annaliese, of CobraHead.
And we here are some new friends!
HIGHLIGHT 3
After a long day at the festival, I took a ferry to Vashon Island to spend the evening with my best friend. These are pictures that I took from the hot tub just as the sun was rising. Now this is the nectar of life.
