We are made of light and sound…and smell

David handed me a small bottle of essential oil perfume and said, ” one of our student’s mother make these perfumes.” I opened the bottle and inhaled. It was a lovely scent of vetiver. sage, and a couple of other familiar notes . I held the bottle and could feel the quality of the oil pulsing in my hand. I looked closely at the label and it was rubbed off a bit. David handed me another bottle and the label read” Blue Moon Aromatics.”

“Oh- I know Ani who makes these Blue Moon Aromatics, i said. “We met in San Diego when I had my healing practice at the Open Door Wellness Center in Encinitas. I was just thinking of her the other day. She changed her company name to Gaia Perfumes.”

It is such a small world. And it’s a world where magic is abound.

The above conversation took place yesterday at the Sound and Consciousness Institute in San Francisco where I met with David Gibson. David is the Director of the center. Stefanie Ku (composer, musician, and artist) brought me to meet him to learn more about the sound healing classes offered there. Here’s a picture of David. He is sweet. grounded and heart centered.

It’s really wyrd (old english for ‘fate’ or ‘wheel’, pronounced like the word ‘weird’) how the universe orchestrates our dreams into reality. Yesterday was a very special. I have been fascinated by sound healing, crystals, energy, sacred geometry, astrology – all things metaphysical since I was 12 years old. Yesterday, many of my worlds collided when I met with David.

David knows and is friends of with many of the Quantum physicists and healers that I have studied or followed for the last eight years. People who include : Fred Bell, Stuart Grace Green, Jonathan Goldman. I have a huge community of friends who study metaphysics but I have never met someone who has put it all together the way David has. The center has this cool sound table that you lay on for healing. Here is a pic of the room where they have the table:

The universe with its infinite intelligence orchestrated the events of the day. It just so happened that I had set out to blog about my favorite perfumes. I was going to start with SIP (Strange Invisible Perfumes) in Venice and then review Signature Scents by Kane ( Andrea Kane). As fate might have it, Blue Moon Aromatics, now Gaia Perfume decided it wanted to be reviewed first! I first met Ani in San Diego four years ago. I have been in contact with her since, but sadly I never had the pleasure of smelling her line of sacred perfumes until yesterday!

Her scents are crafted with intention, energy, and transform at the level of the soul. I plan on reviewing each chakra formula, but for now let’s talk more about vibration.

David is currently working on multi-dimensional Virtual Reality healing system where you can place visuals of sounds inside the body in 3D. You lay on a sound table where you can feel vibrations of sound through your body. You can see 3D images of your organs and play with energies, sounds, healing frequencies and generate transformative experiences. I so wish I had brought my camera and recorded our conversation.

David and I spoke at length about essences & aromas. According to Quantum Physics, everything has a vibration and frequency. David says that every essential oil has a frequency – for example Jasmine resonates with the key of C.

Every aroma has a balancing affect on the body and you can study this affect through biochemistry, you can also study it through sound. Whatever lens you use to look at the universe, one truth remains – we are made of light, sound, and smell. So let’s continue singing and blossoming into our essence – enjoying the sweetest inhalations of flowers.

I love the images of the Gaia Purefume logos and the beautiful vibrations that I feel inside while viewing them. Combining sound, light and aroma. This is beautiful. I look forward to discovering more about how aroma and sound are connected.

  2. Fantastic article – I’m frequently in need of related tips. Some other places you care to share? I’ll probably checking back to get a response
